David moved from Austin, TX in 2010 to attend Belmont University for Songwriting & Music Business. In 2014, he co-founded Gnome Recording Studios & has served at his local church, The Belonging Co. since its beginning. In 2015, he began touring full-time as a keys player with the band Leeland, as well as many other artists including Britt Nicole, Hope Darst, Meredith Andrews,

David has spent the greater part of a decade building relationships in the CCM Industry, and has helped shape the sound of modern worship by recording on countless albums for artists that include CeCe Winans, Phil Wickham, Chris Tomlin, Leeland, The Belonging Co, Gateway Worship, Passion, Natalie Grant, Michael W. Smith, and others. Many of which have attained Grammy Award & GMA Dove Award recognition.

Through years of dedication & hard work, David has sharpened his craft & skillset, having worked under some of CCM’s most influential & established producers including Kyle Lee, Jonathan Smith, Jason Ingram, Bernie Herms, Jeff Pardo & Jacob Sooter. Their mentorship & guidance has significantly shaped not only his ability to create, but also how to carry & preserve the heart of Jesus in the process.

In the summer of 2025, David officially signed his first songwriter publishing deal with Integrity Music.

David has always been passionate about the Church, worship & empowering others to discover their voice & sound through the simplicity of great songs.
